Why do you need a translator?
Machine translation tools, like Google Translate and ChatGPT, can produce acceptable translations for simple documents, when it comes communicating accurately across long complex documents, a human translator is a must. And, only human translators can accurately communicate style, tone, and nuance. Additionally, some types of documents, such as driver's licenses and birth certificates, are only valid if presented in the same format as the original, including written descriptions of items like signatures and seals.
What is the difference between a "certified translation" and a "notarized translation"?
A "certified" translation is a translation that includes a letter stating the translator's qualifications. On the other hand, a "notarized translation" is a translation that includes a notarized certificate-- a letter from the translator that has also been witnessed by a notary. As a member of the American Translators Association, I am highly qualified to provide you with both certified and notarized translations.
What kind of translation do you need?
